Intra-abdominal Pressure Monitoring…..!

Recent clinical evidence suggests that intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) will become a vital sign in critical care.

Our new FoleyManometer LV monitoring kit is a surprisingly simple, reliable, and cost-effective clinical tool.

Based on a modified version of the IAP monitoring technique described by Kron et al., the disposable FoleyManometer provides a closed sterile circuit which connects between the patient´s Foley catheter and the urine collection device.

Each IAP determination takes about 10 sec., and no subsequent correction of urine output is required.

FoleyManometer LV features:
- Low bladder infusion volume (ref. 5)
- IAP measurement time 10 sec.
- Needle-free sampling port
- IAP range 0 - 40 mmHg

Urine drainage  · The urine fills the Foley-Manometer and flows on to the urine collection device.

Measure intra-vesical pressure · The urine in the vertical mano-meter tube returns to the bladder when the vent clamp is opened. Hold the “0 mmHg” mark of the manometer tube at the symph. pubis level and read Pvesical at the position of the meniscus.
